Why We Are Piloting This With Chambers of Commerce
Chambers of Commerce speak directly to the backbone of our economy.
Small businesses, larger employers, family companies, professionals, manufacturers, trades, service firms and the people trying to build something in their own communities.
They are where business, community and opportunity meet.
That is why we are launching a Founding Chamber of Commerce Pilot for the remainder of 2026.
AI is already inside the workplace. Employees are using it, managers are relying on it, and businesses are being asked to make decisions about technology that is moving faster than most policies, regulations and training programs can keep up with.
The real question is no longer whether people will use AI.
They already are.
The question is whether the business has done anything reasonable to prepare them for it.
Our Chamber Business Readiness Program brings together three areas that I believe belong together.
AI Workplace Readiness teaches practical and responsible workplace use.
Distributed Human-in-the-Loop Foundations deals with where the human remains responsible, where verification happens, and when something should be escalated instead of accepted simply because a machine produced it.
CriticalThinking.support goes back to something even more fundamental.
How do we question an assumption?
How do we distinguish evidence from confidence?
What happens if the first explanation is wrong?
What should we verify before we believe, share, publish, decide or approve?
AI makes those skills more important, not less.
We are also building the program around something I think businesses are going to need increasingly: the ability to prove that training actually occurred.
A certificate is useful.
A verifiable training record is better.
The program includes a certificate verification registry with cryptographic integrity checking so an employer can demonstrate that training was completed and that the underlying record has not simply been altered later.
That does not magically make a company compliant.
Nothing does.
But there is an important difference between saying, “We told our employees to be careful with AI,” and being able to demonstrate that the organization had a stated governance position, trained its people, identified human oversight responsibilities and maintained verifiable records.
That is what I mean by supporting good-faith compliance in an evolving regulatory environment.
For the remainder of 2026, we are keeping the Founding Chamber Pilot deliberately simple.
The price is $299 total.
Not per member.
A Chamber with 200 business members pays $299.
A Chamber with 2,000 business members pays $299.
The objective this year is not to squeeze revenue out of every training seat.
It is to work with Chambers that want to put something genuinely useful in front of their members and prove that the model works.
Beginning in 2027, participating Chambers can renew at $2 per business member annually, with an $800 minimum.
There is also a practical commercial reason for Chambers to participate.
If a member later purchases a qualifying, already-discounted AI governance or workplace-risk tool through the program, the Chamber receives 30% of qualifying net collected revenue.
No inventory.
No sales quota.
No requirement for Chamber staff to become AI consultants.
It becomes both a member benefit and a potential source of non-dues revenue.
This program is a Trusted by Heroes initiative developed through Mounted Rifles Management Limited.
Trusted by Heroes is also the commercial side of work that helps support the broader Red Friday Talks peer-support mission serving veterans, first responders and the people who stand beside them.
We are veteran owned and run.
That background influences how I look at AI governance.
Technology can assist a decision.
It does not remove responsibility from the person making it.
People still need judgment.
People still need to verify.
People still need to know when to stop.
And people still need to look after the person beside them.
That is another reason Chambers make sense to me.
They already understand that healthy businesses and healthy communities are connected.
They bring together the people who create jobs, take risks, employ neighbours, sponsor local teams, support charities and build opportunity.
We provide the training and the platform.
The Chamber provides the local connection.
That is the pilot.
Better questions. Better judgment. Better AI decisions.
